For some the course will provide an oppotunity to deepen their understanding of the Bible and Christian beliefs. Others may complete the qualification as a means of obtaining formal training in order to be allowed to function in a certain Church, Chaplaincy, or other missions or ministry situation.
Generally speaking, the Certificate IV course is intended to equip individuals to serve in a range of roles in churches, community organisations, Christian education, health, social services or aged care services or Christian not-for-profit organisations. |

Entry Requirements
In order for you to complete this course, you need to have a sound level of ability in written and spoken English. This is includes the communication skills required to:
MEETING ENTRY REQUIREMENTS When you enrol, we will ask that you to participate in an Entry Skills Test. The entry test will involve a multiple choice quiz designed to evaluate your readiness for the study by assessing key skills in language proficiency, digital literacy, numeracy, and cognitive reasoning. Most people who passed Year 12 (senior secondary school) will be able to acheive a pass result in the Entry Skills Test. You will also be required to provide us with a written testimony (approx 300 words) as part of the entry testing process. Please keep in mind that the purpose of this is purely to show that you have the basic skills and equipment required to complete the program or course. It is not a test of your past, your beliefs or you as a person. |

Assessment Methods
The Christian Ministry and Theology Courses follow a competency based assessment approach, which is required of Australian Government accredited Certificate IV level courses. The course is structured by a series of tasks that address the topics of each unit. Your Trainer will be there to give you guidance on how to complete the assessment tasks and also provide you with feedback as you progress through the course. All assessment tasks have to be completed satisfactorily and there are opportunities for reassessment if you are unsuccessful on your first attempt. The types of assessment tasks in the courses include:
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) If you have existing relevant qualifications or years of Christian Ministry and Theology leadership experience, you may be eligible for full or partial Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
